Before South Park, Comedy Central won a Peabody for their first-ever animated series starring Jonathan Katz as a dry, kind, concerned therapist whose patients just so happen to all be real life stand up comics trying out bits on his couch. Everything about this show makes me laugh, even its animation style (dubbed “Squigglevision”) which continually makes jokes out of its cost-cutting 3-panel boil and a style of clever editing used to move its characters across a room.
